The car gets heated up when parked in the sun with the windows shut,  proving the "green house effect". The sun rays, or heat rays  get inside a glass box, but do not escape back to the atmosphere, thereby heating the same.

White doesn't absorb any photons and reflect practically everything back, which is why you could get a better tan sitting near something lighter. Black absorbs all of the photons and doesnt reflect as much, which heats things up quickly. Space is black because there is nothing to put out photons except where the stars (suns) are. White is said to be the complete color spectrum as its being reflecting it all back, black is the "absence of color".
