Lichens are example of symbiotic nutrition.
 

Lichens are organisms formed by the symbiotic association of algae and fungi.

The fungal component is involved in the giving structure to lichen and moisture and algal part is responsible for the synthesis of food.

Lichens usually grow on rocks, stones, decaying woods, barks of trees, soil rich in humus.
