- Structural adaptation: Refers to the physical changes in terms of shape and size of the organism’s body. Example: Ducks have webbed feet which enable them to wade easily through water.
- Behavioural adaptation: Refers to the behavioural changes shown by an organism. Example: Penguins move in large groups to protect themselves from predators.
