Let us use the notation  side BC = a cm  ,  AB = c cm

Given :   c+a = 17  .................(1)
              c -a = 7  ...................(2)

By adding both eqn., we get  2 c = 24   or  c = 12 cm
By subtracting eqn.(2) from eqn.(1), we get   2 a = 10   or  a = 5 cm

Then side AC = b = begin mathsize 12px style square root of 12 squared plus 5 squared space end root space equals space 13 space c m end style
sin(A) cos(C) = (5/13)(5/13) = 25/169
