CBSE Class 10 Answered
If the roots of the quadratic equation ax2 +bx + c are sin α and cos α, then
a2 + b2 = c2
a2 - 2bc = b2
b2 + 2ac = a2
b2 - 2ac = a2

ax2 +bx + c = 0
According to the question,
sin α + cos α = -b/a and sin α cos α = c/a
using
(sin α + cos α)2 = b2 / a2
sin2 α + cos2 α + 2sinα cosα = b2 / a2
1 + 2c/a = b2 / a2
solving it further we get
b2 - 2ac = a2
