how will we draw a chain of hydrocarbons with structure formula with including oxygen with hydrocarbons?how will draw the open chain and closed chain of hydrocarbons with oxygen.if structural formula is with hydrocarbons and oxygen how will we identify the general formal of it? answer it by 2 or 3 examples

The oxygen is present in functional group like
Alcohol-OH
Carboxylic acid-COOH
Esters- COOR
Ethers --O
So first we have to look how many oxygen are present And then we will write down the formula
For example : write the formula of C6H12O2
Now look which functional group contains two oxygens. So it can be either acid or ester . now write the formula for both
CH3-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-COOH
CH3-CH2-CH2-COO-CH2-CH3
So both can be the formula of the C6H12O2
