ICSE Class 10 Answered
How does the furrow in the animal cell deepen?
Asked by sarthshinde61.10spicertl | 15 May, 2020, 12:11: PM
The cell furrow deepens as the actin ring contracts, and eventually the membrane is cleaved in two. During cytokinesis in animal cells, a ring of actin filaments forms at the metaphase plate. The ring contracts, forming a cleavage furrow, which divides the cell in two.
