Let initial charges are q1 and q2

Force F between them , begin mathsize 14px style F space equals space K space fraction numerator q subscript 1 q subscript 2 over denominator d squared end fraction end style = 100 N

where K = 1/(4begin mathsize 14px style pi epsilon subscript o end style) is Coulomb's constant and d is distance between them .

Let q1 is decreased by 10% , then magnitude of new charge = 0.9 q1

Let q2 is increased by 10% , then magnitude of new charge = 1.1 q2

Modified force F '  = begin mathsize 14px style 0.1 space cross times 0.9 space space K space fraction numerator q subscript 1 q subscript 2 over denominator d squared end fraction space equals space 0.99 space cross times 100 space N space equals space 99 space N end style
