Force = mass × acceleration
 
we have x = a sin(ωt)
where x is displacement in x-direction, a is amplitude of oscillatory motion, ω is angular speed.
 
velocity = dx/dt = aω cos(ωt)
 
acceleration = d2x/dt2 = -aω2 sin(ωt)
 
force = m × d2x/dt2 = -m×a×ω2 sin(ωt) ......................(1)
 
force is oscillatory and its magnitude is given by eqn.(1). Direction of force is along x-axis (linear motion)
