Draw the circuit diagram of an illuminated photodiode in reverse bias. How is photodiode used to measure light intensity?

The magnitude of the photocurrent depends on the intensity of incident light as the photocurrent is proportional to incident light intensity.
A change in the photo current indicates a change in the light intensity, if a reverse bias is applied. Thus photo diode can be used as a photo detector to detect optical signals.
