does enterogastrone inhibit gastric secretion?

Enterogastrone is a hormone that inhibits the gastric secretion by blocking the activity of gastrin (that cause acid movements and secretion of gastric juice). It slows down gastric contraction, hence it is also called gastric inhibitory peptide (GIP).
