Steps of construction.
i. Draw a line segment PQ = 9cm.
ii. Draw any ray making an acute angle QPX with PQ.
iii. Along PX, mark off 7 (4+3) points P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7 such that PP1 = P1P2
P2P3 =P3P4 = P4P5 = P5P6 = P6P7
iv. Join QP7.
v. Through P4 draw a line P4A parallel to P7Q by making an angle equal to PP7Q intersecting PQ at A.
vi. The point A so obtained is the required point, which divides PQ internally in the ratio 4: 3
