Construct a parallelogram with AD=4cm, AB=AD+0.3cm and BD =6.8cm. Also, write the steps of construction.

We have AB = 4cm+0.3cm =4.3cm

DC =AB=4.3cm, and BC =AD=4cm

BD = 6.8 cm

 

 

 

Steps of Construction:

a)Draw  AB  =4.3cm.

b)With A as centre  and radius  4cm draw an arc. With B as centre and radius  6.8cm, draw another arc which cuts the previous arc at pt D. Join AD and BD.

c)With D as centre and radius 4.3cm, draw an arc which meets the arc drawn from B with radius 4 cm at point C.

d)Join DC and BC.

ABCD is the required parallelogram.
