In a particular step, we have ,  -4( a2 d2 + b2 c2 - 2abcd ) = 0
 
above expression can be writtena s,  -4 ( ad - b c)2 = 0
 
Since bracketed algeberic term is multiplied by a constant (-4) and the product is zero , we get (ad - bc)2 = 0
 
Hence -4 is not considered for next step.
