CBSE Class 10 Answered
An object is kept at a distance of 15 cm from a
(a) Convex mirror
(b) Plane mirror
The focal length of the convex mirror and the concave lens are 10 cm each.
Draw the appropriate ray diagrams, showing the formation of image, in each of the three cases.

u = -15 cm
focal length for convex mirror, f = + 10 cm
By mirror formula,

Image formed by the plane mirror is at same distance as that of object.
Thus, if for plane mirror, object is placed at 15 cm then image will also be formed at 15 cm behind the mirror.
