Ques : A uniform solid cone of height 40 cm is shown in figure. The distance of centre of mass of the cone from point B(centre of the base) is?
(a) 20 cm (b) 10/3 cm (c) 20/3 cm (d) 10 cm

Expert Answer
The distance of centre of mass C of a solid cone from the centre of the base is given as h/4.
Hence,
Distance between C and B = h/4 = 40/4 = 10 cm
Option (d) 10 cm is corect.
