Let R = 2.5 m and H = 21 m be the radius and height of cylindrical part of rocket respectively .

Let L = 8 m be the slant  height of cone .

Total surface area = π R2 + (2πR) H + π R L

where the first term is the area of bottom surface , second term is the  area of curved surface
of cylinder and the third term is lateral surface area of cone .

Total surface area = π R ( R + 2 H + L )

Total surface area = π × 2.5 ( 2.5 + 42 + 8 ) m2 = 412 m2
