Pressure = Force / Area
 
Pressure on nail head = 25 N / 0.5 mm2 =  25 N / ( 0.5 × 10-6 m2 )  = 5.0 × 107 N/m2
 
Pressure at nail's tip  = 25 N / 0.1 mm2 = 25 N / ( 0.1 × 10-6 m2 )  = 2.5 × 108 N/m2
