a current is set up in a copper pipe. is there a magnetic field (1)inside (2)outside. give reason also

1)The magnetic field is zero inside the pipe.
2) A finite magnetic field exists outside the pipe.
outside the pipe,B = ?0I/2?r
magnetic field is inversely proportional to r. where r is distance from the axis.
