a conductor 0.20m long is moved in a field of strength o.o5T with a speed of 0.30 ms‐¹. find , in volt ,e.m.f induced in it , if it is moved at right angles to both its length and the field.

If a conductor of length L is moved in a magnetic field of induction B so that direction of motion of conductor is
perpendicular to the length of conductor and direction of magnetic field, then induced EMF E in the conductor is , 
 
E = ( v B L )
 
where v is velocity of conductor .
 
E = 0.3 × 0.05 × 0.2  V  = 0.003 V = 3 mV
