Yes, it's a valid point.
We have calculated a time period of 4 seconds based on assumption, that what if all the way along the speed is constant and equal to (Rg). But in fact it's not, and some path is travelled with a greater speed. This argument suggests the actual time period less than the calculated with constant "Minimum speed" assumption.
Hence the correct answer is 1 sec.
We regret for the overlooking of obvious fact.
