figure shows the forces acting on the box placed on the slope of hill.
F is applied force in horizontal direction, mg is force due to gravity.
As can be seen from figure, to hold the box, Resolved components of the forces along the direction of slope should be equal.
Hence , we have, mg sinθ = F cosθ or F = mg tanθ ............(1)
By substituting the values for m, g and θ, we get, F = 50×9.8×(1/√3) ≈ 28.3 N
