A ball is dropped from rest from a height of 12 height loses its 25% of its kinetic energy on striking the ground what is the height to which it bounces

It is assumed that ball is dropped from 12 m height.
Its potential energy is fully converted to kinetic energy when the ball hit the ground.
If collision is elastic, ball will rebound with same speed and it will reach the same height 12 m.
since (1/4)th of kinetic energy energy lost, it has to raise to a height with (3/4)th of initial kinetic energy.
hence it will reach (3/4)th of initial height, i.e, (3/4)×12 = 9 m.
