90 = (360/3) -1

Dear Student,

Still it seems you have doubt in concept of number of images formed by two plane mirrors which are kept at certain angle.

The formula for number of images formed by two plane mirrors placed at an angle to each other is given as,
n = (360°/θ) - 1
where
n - number of images formed
θ- angle between two mirros

So if the angle between two mirrors is θ = 90°
n = (360°/90°)  - 1
Thus,
n = 4 -1 = 3
so, n = 3

If angle between the two mirrors is 90° the number of images formed are 3.
