1.Find the equation of a straight line passing through the point of intersection of the lines 3x + y - 9=0 and 4x + 3y - 7=0 and perpendicular to the line 5x - 4y + 1=0. 2.Find the equation of the line joining the point of intersection of 3x + 2y + 1=0 and x+y-3=0 to the point of intersection of 3x+2y-1=0 and x+y-5=0.

the equation of a straight line passing through the point of intersection of the lines 3x + y - 9=0 and 4x + 3y - 7=0
usfamily of lines
(3x + y - 9)+p(4x + 3y - 7)=0
to find p
this is perpendicular to line
5x - 4y + 1=0
so -(3+4p/1+3p)*5/4=-1
solving for p
p=-11/8
so equation of line will be
3x+y-9-11/8(4x+3y-7)=0
4x+5y=1
