Maharashtra HSC Board Syllabus No More Relevant for NEET and JEE Entrances, CET Scrapped

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced that JEE and NEET entrance exams will be based only on NCERT curriculum. This will result in the Maharashtra State HSC board syllabus becoming irrelevant for NEET and JEE aspirants.

What’s more, Common Entrance Tests (CETs) are also being scrapped with a view of having uniformity in entrance examination syllabi. The Supreme Court had made NEET compulsory only for admission to medical and dental courses, however, the Maharashtra state government in December 2016 decided to scrap CET for all health science courses altogether, making NEET the only test applicable for all health science courses.

Students who want to pursue Architecture in 2018 are not at all aware not which entrance exam will be applicable to them. Although the government is trying to bring all exams at par, students have to grapple with a changed syllabus every year. This constant change affects their daily studies and leads to unwanted anxiety in the student fraternity.
