ICSE Class 10 - Surface Area of a Cylinder Videos
Surface Area of a Cylinder
Right circular cylinder and its radius , height. Solve problem related to curved/ total surface area cylinders and cylindrical objects.
- In the above question, why only curved surface area of the cylinder has been calculated? Why not the area of cross section of the other side of the cylinder?
A wire of diameter 2mm is to be wound around a cylinder of 70mm diameter and 20cm height. If the wire is to be wound in such a manner that there is no gap between consecutive turns of the wire, what length of wire will be required for covering the entire cylinder?
- The radius of a roller is 35 cm and its length is 3 m. If it takes 30 revolutions to level a playground, find: a) the are of the playground b) the cost of levelling the ground at rs 5 per m2.
- A cylindrical glass of 6 cm hright has a radius of 3.5 cm. find the wet surface areaof the glass when water is poured into it.
two right circular solid cylinder have radii in the ratio 3:5 and height in the ratio 2:3.find the ratio between their:curved surface area and volume
- a closed cylindrical tank made of thin iron sheet has diameter = 8.4 m and height = 5.4 m. how much metal sheet, to the nearest sq. m, is used in making this tank, if 1/15 of the sheet actually used was wasted in making the tank
