A cylindrical glass of 6 cm hright has a radius of 3.5 cm. find the wet surface areaof the glass when water is poured into it.

Expert Answer
Here, h = 6cm and r = 3.5 cm.
The wet surface area of the glass when water is poured into it
= Curved Surface Area of a cylindrical glass + Area of a base
= 2πrh + πr2
= 2πr (h + r)
Therefore, the wet surface area of the glass when water is poured into it is 170.5 cm2 .
