You enter a laboratory after the class has completed the Fountain experiment. How will you be able to tell whether the gas used in the experiment was hydrogen chloride or Ammonia?

In case of Ammonia, the solution in the flask was blue, whereas in case of  hydrogen chloride gas the solution entering the flask was red.
