Let the equation of line be y-y1=m(x-x1) ... (i)
Slope of the line parallel to x-axis is 0.
Therefore, slope of line (i) is 0.
Also, (i) passes through the point (0, 8).
Therefore, y-8=0(x-0)
y-8=0
y=8
Hence, the equation of the required line is y = 8.
