1) the coordinates of a point at a distance of 3 units from the x-axis will be of the form (x,3) or (x,-3), where x can be negative or positive.
2) the coordinates of a point at a distance of 3 units from the y-axis will be of the form (3,y) or (-3,y), where y can be negative or positive.
