Molarity (M) is defined as number of moles of solute dissolved in one litre of solution.

Molality (m) is defined as the number of moles of the solute per kilogram (kg) of the solvent.

In 1 molar solution, 1 mole of solute is in 1 litre of solution That means solute and solvent makes  1 litre.

While in 1 molal solution 1 mole of solute is dissolved in 1 litre of solvent.

So 1 molar solution is more concentrated than 1 molal solution.
