When is the magnetic flux linked with the circuit (a) maximum and (b) minimum?

a) The magnetic flux is maximum when the plane of the coil is perpendicular to the magnetic field i.e, θ = 0°

Therefore, Φ = NBA cos θ = NBA cos 0° =NBA (maximum).

b) The magnetic flux is minimum when the plane of the coil is parallel to the magnetic field i.e θ = 90°

Therefore, Φ = NBA cos θ = NBA cos 90° = 0 (minimum).
