Expert Answer
Heat tells us about the total energy of the motion of the molecules of the substance on the other hand temperature refers to the average energy of motion of molecules in a substance. The temperature is independent of the factors like speed of the particle, size of the particle whereas heat depends on all these factors. For example lets consider a glass of water and bucket of water both are at the same temperature but since the bucket consists more number of particle it said to posses more heat as compared to glass of water although both are at the same temperature.Temperature directly related to the kinetic energy possessed by the substance if the temperature is doubled the kinetic energy will get doubled.
