An electric motor is a device that converts electrical energy to mechanical energy by using the force experienced by a current-carrying conductor in a magnetic field. A rectangular coil of insulated copper wire makes up an electric motor. The coil is placed between the two poles of a magnet and begins to rotate as soon as current begins to flow through it due to the magnetic field produced by the current flowing inside the conductor, as shown below.

Plssss answer..... Assertion: Magnetic field lines never intersect each other. Reason: If they intersect, then at the point of intersection, the compass needle would point towards two directions, which is not possible.
