We protect ourselves from cold with woolens during winter. Why?

The gaps present in the wool trap the air inside. Since air and wool are poor conductors of heat, wool does not allow the transfer of body heat to the external environment.As a result, loss of heat is less through woolen clothes.
So we protect ourselves from cold with woolen clothes during winter.
