Two parallel chords AB and CD are 3.9 cm apart and lie on the opposite sides of the centre of a circle. If AB=1.4cm and CD=4cm, find the radius of the circle

Figure shows two chords AB and CD which are 3.9 cm apart in a circle.
Let CD is at a distance x cm from centre of circle and AB is at a distance (3.9-x) cm from centre.
Let R be the radius of circle
From right ΔAGO, we have R2 = (3.9 - x)2 + (0.7)2 .....................(1)
From right ΔCFO, we have R2 = x2 + 22 ................................(2)
by equating (1) and (2), (3.9 - x)2 + (0.7)2 = x2 + 22 ..........................(3)
solving (3) for x, we get x = 1.5 cm
By substituting x in eqn.(2), we get R = 2.5 cm
