Let the side of squar is a.
length of rectangle = 1.4a ; breadth of rectangle = 0.6a ;
Area of rectangle = 1.4a*0.6a = 0.84a2 sq. units
ratio of area of rectangle to that of square = 0.84a2 : a2 = 84:100 = 21:25
