Expert Answer
A dry cell converts chemical energy into electricity, chemical reaction produces charges that is attracted to electrodes that gives potential difference .
This chemical reaction is retarded may be when the battery is cold. Warming it up a little can increase the rate of chemical reaction.
Hence dry cell starts working for little more time. we are not charging the battery by exposing it to sunlight.
