Let us consider the two given vectors begin mathsize 14px style A with rightwards arrow on top end style and begin mathsize 14px style B with rightwards arrow on top end style are sides of parallelogram OPRQ so that diagonal OR is ( begin mathsize 14px style A with rightwards arrow on top end style + begin mathsize 14px style B with rightwards arrow on top end style ) as shown in figure .
Let us form another parallelogram OP'R'Q' so that begin mathsize 14px style A with rightwards arrow on top end style and ( - begin mathsize 14px style B with rightwards arrow on top end style )  are sides of parallelogram OP'R'Q' .
Hence diagonal OR' represents ( begin mathsize 14px style A with rightwards arrow on top end style - begin mathsize 14px style B with rightwards arrow on top end style ) as shown in figure .
It is to be noted here both the parallelograms are congruent.
 
If we are given that | begin mathsize 14px style A with rightwards arrow on top end style + begin mathsize 14px style B with rightwards arrow on top end style | = | begin mathsize 14px style A with rightwards arrow on top end style - begin mathsize 14px style B with rightwards arrow on top end style | , then Bothe diagonals af parallelogram are equal.
In a parallelogram, if diagonals are equal then this parallelogram is Rectangle .
 
Hence angle between begin mathsize 14px style A with rightwards arrow on top end style and begin mathsize 14px style B with rightwards arrow on top end style is 90o
