Q: If 30 litres of 20% milk is mixed with 20 litres of 25% milk, then find the concentration of milk in the resulting solution.
Solution:-
30 litres of 20% milk, so the quantity of milk is 20% of 30 litres = 20/100 x 30 = 6 litres
20 litres of 25% milk, so the quantity of milk is 25% of 20 litres = 25/100 x 20 = 5 litres
The resulting solution contains 6+5=11 litres of milk in the solution of 50 litres.
Concentration of milk in the resulting solution = (11/50 x 100)% = 22%
