To treat hypermetropic eye, convex lens is used to focus the object kept at 30 cm to the point 60 cm ,
which is ner point of this case.

we have lens equation :- (1/v) - (1/u) = 1/f

v = lens-to-image distance = -60 cm
u = lens-to-object distance = -30 cm
(Cartesian Sign convention is used for u and v )

by substituting values for u and v in lens equation we get ,  1/f = -(1/60)+(1/30)  or f = 60 cm

Lens to be used is a convex lens of focal length 60cm

power of the lens = 1/0.6 = +1.67 D
