significant?

Expert Answer
The Lucknow Pact was significant for the following two reasons:
- After the wedge driven between the Hindus and Muslims on the issue of the partition of Bengal, the Lucknow Pact symbolised the first instance of Hindu-Muslim unity.
- The Lucknow Pact brought back the Radical Nationalists within the fold of the Indian National Congress. This obviously further strengthened the national movement.
