In a turgid cell, no more water enters though it is has high solute concentration inside in comparison to outside. Why?

When a cell becomes turgid its turgor pressure counter balances the wall pressure and therefore there is no further absorption of water even though the concentration of solution inside the cell may be greater than outside the cell.
