CBSE Class 9 Answered
How will you separate a mixture containing kerosene and petrol (difference in their boiling points is more than 25?C), which are miscible with each other?
For this question it's given that we should use distillation but distillation is used only when the difference between the two substances boiling point is 25k which is -248.15. So how can we use distillation?

Simple distillation can be used when the temperature difference between the boiling points of two miscible liquid is at least 25oC. The temperature difference between the boiling points of kerosene and petrol is 25oC. Hence, this mixture can be separated using simple distillation.
