How many m2 of tin would be required to line the inside of a rectangular tank on the sides and bottom if the inside dimensions of the tank are 8 m × 5 m × 4 m.?

Given: length (l)=8 m, breadth(b)=5 m and height(h)=4 m

Area of four walls and base=

                                                =2(8+5)4+(8 x 5)

                                                =144 m2

                                                               

Thus 144 m2 of tin is required to line the inside of the tank.
