Let the length of the side be a
if the side is increased by 20%
 then new side will be 1.2a
Now body diagonal of a cube is given by 
square root of 3 cross times s i d e O l d space b o d y space d i a g o n a l equals square root of 3 a N e w space b o d y space d i a g o n a l square root of 3 x 1.2 a p e r c e n t a g e space i n c r e a s e space w i l l space b e fraction numerator square root of 3 x 1.2 a minus square root of 3 a over denominator square root of 3 a end fraction cross times 100 fraction numerator 1.2 a minus a over denominator a end fraction cross times 100 fraction numerator 0.2 a over denominator a end fraction cross times 100 equals 20 percent sign
