A concrete pillar 15 m high has a cross section which is square of side 3 m. Find the cost of painting its top and four walls at the rate of Rs 4 per m2.

Given: length (a) =3 m, breadth (a) =3 m and height(k)=15 m
Area of four walls and top
=
= 
Cost of painting 1 m2 = Rs 4
Therefore, cost of painting 189 m2 =Rs {189×4}
=Rs 756
