Direction of magnetic field due to current carrying wire is determined with the help of right hand rule
as shown in figure.

Imagine we are holding the current carrying wire in right hand so that thumb shows the direction of current,
then curling of fingers shows the direction of magnetic field

It is obvious that if direction of current changes , then applying same right hand rule,
we get magnetic field in opposite direction

alpha particle is positively charged particle. Its movement direction is shown by vector v in figure .
Direction of magnetic induction vector B is perpendicular to the direction of alpha partcle as shown in figure.

Magnetic force experienced by positively charged alpha particle is given by vector product v x B

Direction of vector product is determined by right hand rule for vector product as shown in figure.
Let us say we are finding the vector product of two vectors A and B
If we hold the right hand by closing the fingers except thumb as shown in figure  and imagine the direction of curling of fingers is
the direction of rotation of vector A towards vector B , then direction of thumb is the direction of vector product A x B

we apply this right hand rule for vector product v x B for movement of alpha particle in magnetic field.

Direction of vector v is from bottom to top of page. Direction of magnetic induction vector B is from left to right.

Hence as per right hand rule, direction of v x B vector is into the page as shown in figure
