For making cake baking powder is used but if baking soda is used instead of it how will the taste of cake be affected?
How can baking soda be converted into baking powder?
write the reaction which takes place when baking powder is heated.

The baking powder is the mixture of baking soda(sodium hydrogencarbonate) and an acid like tataric acid or citric acid .The role an acid in the baking powder is neutralisation of effect of sodiumcarbonate.If the acid is not present the cake will taste bitter.2NaHCO3 = Na2CO3 +H2O + CO2
